Apple Music have launched a new dedicated page showcasing the company’s Apple TV+ original series and movies through a mixture of scores, soundtracks and playlists both inspired by and curated by some of the streaming services biggest names. As described by Apple:
“Apple TV+ is here. And Apple Music is celebrating with custom scores, soundtracks, and exclusive playlists from our Apple Original Series. From ’See’ star Jason Momoa, a personal playlist of songs that get him into the zone. From ‘For All Mankind’ creator Ron Moore, a selection of tracks that inspired his vision of a world where the space race never ended. And that’s just the beginning. Start your day off right with songs from ‘The Morning Show.’ Then travel back in time to meet a young rebel poet named ’Dickinson.’ Check back in thoughout the season – we’ll update this space with more music as new shows debut.”
Apple TV+ exclusive playlists are dedicated to the music featured within its original series along with essential selections for Peanuts animations and ‘Dickinson’ co-stars Hailee Steinfeld and Wiz Khalifa. Apple TV+ Scores focus instead on the original music written specifically to accompany the series or movie; featuring works from Carter Burwell, Jeff Russo, Jeff Morrow, Alex Heffes, Drum & Lace, Ian Hultquist and Bear McCreary. The TV+ dedicated Apple Music page is rounded off with music videos as-well-as featured interviews from Apple Music’s streaming station, Beats 1. One personal highlight is Jason Momoa’s ’See’ playlist which features nearly four hours of his favourite tracks that get him pumped up before a shoot. His track choices come from an eclectic group of artists including; The Murder City Devils, Dwarves, Motörhead, High On Fire, Zeal & Ardor and Melvins.

It’s no coincidence that the most iconic moments in TV and film are often defined by the music accompanying them. From the ominous strings that reel in Jaws to the trumpets that announce Star Wars, a good soundtrack can not only enhance the story being told on screen, it often becomes its zeitgeist.

Apple Music’s dedicated page to Apple TV+ offers listeners a chance to discover new music whilst allowing moments from our favourite TV+ originals to live on in our conscious for many years to come.
