Apple TV+ have begun airing a new campaign by TBWA\Media Arts Lab that is set to kick-off a global multi-platform campaign for the streaming service beginning with this weekend’s NFL playoff broadcasts.
In the spot titled “Everyone but Jon Hamm,” the celebrated SAG and Emmy award winning actor swipes through Apple’s all-original lineup of TV shows and films whilst humerously lamenting on how they feature numerous big-name stars, except for… Jon Hamm.
In the ad, a smooth-tongued Hamm references the streaming service’s talent pool of A-listers before leaving a message with his celebrity friend Tom Hanks, only to realise that he has two feature films on the service - further rubbing salt into the wound.
“Hey, Apple, did I do something to offend you? I mean, Samuel L. Jackson, Billie Eilish, Tom Holland. Chris Evans? What about Jon Hamm?”
Could this be a knowing tease that Jon Hamm will soon make a guest appearance in a beloved Apple Original series, or could we yet see the Mad Men star attached to a yet-to-be-announced upcoming project for Apple? Let us know your thoughts @screentimesnet before checking out the hilarious spot below.
Fun fact: Whilst yet to make his Apple TV+ debut, Jon Hamm did appear in an 2018 episode of Carpool Karaoke alongside Jeremy Renner and Ed Helms.
