Apple has released the full-length trailer for season two of ‘Tehran’, which will arrive on TV+ on Friday May 6th.
The second season sees Tamar return and infiltrate Tehran under a false identity to help destroy Iran’s nuclear reactor. But when her mission fails, Tamar must plan an operation that will place everyone dear to her in jeopardy. The series stars Niv Sultan, Shaun Toub, Navid Negahban, Shervin Alenabi, Liraz Charhi and Menashe Noy. The trailer gives us a further look at Glenn Close, who joins as a series regular, and a better understanding of her motivations throughout season two. It also teases plenty of twists and turns and explosive action.
The series took home the award for ‘Best Drama‘ at the 49th annual International Emmy Awards in 2021, beating out productions from Disney+ Hotstar, Amazon Studios and the BBC in the category. The series is created by Moshe Zonder, Dana Eden and Maor Kohn, and directed by Daniel Syrkin. Omri Shenhar serves as writer alongside Zonder. Syrkin and Shenhar are also co-creators.
The second season will debut with two episodes followed by a new episode each subsequent Friday, with eight episodes in total. The season 2 finale will air on June 17th.
