The release of Home Before Dark’s second season adds to an already stacked summer line-up on Apple TV+ and promises to grip viewers once again as more of Erie Harbour’s dark secrets are uncovered.
Brooklyn Prince (‘The Florida Project’) returns as Hilde Lisko, who sets out to investigate a cover up in the town that could be making it’s residents sick and dead birds mysteriously falling from the sky. The trailer also hints at the show exploring changing family dynamics as Hilde’s older sister, played by Kylie Rogers (‘Yellowstone’) begins high school.
Fans of season 1 who may have been worried that the show would move on to a completely new storyline instead of addressing the questions that followed the season 1 finale can rest easy. The trailer hints at the original storyline involving the disappearance of Ritchie continuing and ultimately being tied to the new investigation in some way.
Based on the real life of young journalist Hilde Lysiak, Home Before Dark season 2 features the same supporting cast and some new faces too. Louis Herthum, Jim Sturgess, Abby Miller, Michael Weston, Aziza Scott, Jibrail Nantambu and Deric McCabe all return.
Jon M. Chu (‘Crazy Rich Asians’), who recently featured on an episode of Time to Walk on Apple Fitness+ returns as Executive Producer for season 2. Chu directed the first two episodes of the first season. Apple TV+ subscribers can catch-up on season 1 and add season 2 to their Up Next queue within the TV app.
