Apple has released the first teaser trailer for its highly anticipated sci-fi series ‘Invasion.’ Starring Sam Neill (‘Jurassic Park’), Shamier Anderson (’Stowaway’, ‘Awake’), Golshifteh Farahani (‘Extraction’), Firas Nassar (‘Between Heaven and Earth’) and Shioli Kutsana (‘Deadpool 2’), the ambitious ten episode series tells the story of an alien invasion from various different perspectives across the world. Neill will star as John Bell Tyson, a local sheriff approaching retirement while Anderson plays Trevante Ward, a soldier stationed in Afghanistan. Farahani and Nassar will star as Aneesha and Ahmed Malik, two first generation Syrian immigrants living in New York City while Kutsana will play MitsukI, a mission control officer in Japan.

Written and produced by Simon Kinberg (‘The Martian’) and David Weil (‘Hunters’) and directed by Jakob Verbruggen (‘Black Mirror’), ‘Invasion‘ is set to be Apple’s biggest scale original series to date. Filmed in the US, UK, Morocco and Japan with a reported budget of $200 million, production was temporarily halted due to the Covid-19 pandemic but resumed in February 2021 with shooting concluding in Greenwhich, London. Check out the official teaser below before pre-adding the upcoming series to your Up Next queue.

Invasion will debut on Apple TV+ on October 22nd.
