Apple TV+, along with showrunner David S. Goyer will soon bring to the screen an adaptation of Isaac Asimov's Foundation novels. Long thought un-filmable, Goyer and co will be hoping to prove everyone wrong when the show premieres in September.
On first glance they're certainly giving a good go! With visuals looking like a Hollywood blockbuster and a deep cast that includes Jared Harris, Lee Pace, Lou Llobell, Laura Birn and Clarke Peters, we're given a glimpse at a future where everyone is under the rule of the Galactic Federation. Then one man (Harris) starts to question everything they believe in, threatening the equilibrium of life across the many planets.
Foundation will premiere on Apple TV+ on September 24th.
Jonathan, ScreenTimes’ Contributing Editor has been lucky enough to work on Apple products his whole life, ever since his Dad brought home a Mac Performa aged 11 (him, not his Dad). Apple is just engrained in his life, especially nowadays, as a graphic designer. His nerdy enthusiasm for Apple is only matched by his love of TV and film. Whether a buzz-worthy new show or blockbuster, a small cult show or an indie film, he’ll watch it. So Apple TV meets right in the middle of that Venn diagram!
