Apple have unveiled the premiere date and a first-look at the upcoming second season of global espionage thriller ‘Tehran’, which will arrive on TV+ on Friday May 6th.

Filled with suspense and plenty of twists and turns, ‘Tehran’ tells the story of Mossad agent Tamar Rabinyan, who goes deep undercover on a dangerous mission that places her and everyone around her in danger. The series stars Niv Sultan, Shaun Toub, Navid Negahban, Shervin Alenabi, Liraz Charhi and Menashe Noy. Following the season 1 finale, Apple announced that Glenn Close would join the cast as a series regular in season 2.

The second season will debut with two episodes followed by a new episode each subsequent Friday, with eight episodes in total. The season 2 finale will air on June 17th.

Last year, the series took home the award for ‘Best Drama‘ at the 49th annual International Emmy Awards, edging out productions from Disney+ Hotstar, Amazon Studios and the BBC in the category.
